Don’t see a native integration that fits your needs? No problem. Create your own FreshPlug to bring critical information from third party apps into your ticket details and contact pages. With FreshPlugs, you can use HTML, CSS and Javascript to add whatever custom integrations you need.

We also encourage our customers to share their custom integrations in the FreshPlug Gallery. So, before you roll up your sleeves and start developing, make sure you check there first. And if you do end up finding a solution to your problem, you can go ahead and use it at no extra cost.

Quick guide to create a FreshPlug

Remember that you need to have the code for your widget ready, before you can add it to your helpdesk.

  • Log into your support portal as an administrator.
  • Go to the Admin tab.
  • Under Helpdesk Productivity, click on Integrations.
  • Under the FreshPlugs tab, click on New FreshPlug.
  • Give your FreshPlug an easy name and short description.
  • Add your HTML, CSS and JavaScript code inside the script area.
  • Preview your new FreshPlug by clicking Show Preview.
  • Choose whether the widget should be displayed when you are viewing a ticket, contact or both.
  • Click Create and Enable to start using your new FreshPlug.

You can use some plugs in both tickets and contacts pages, but certain plugs require information specific to only one of these pages and will not work in other places. For example, if you have a plug that needs to pull the subject of the ticket and identify the sentiment, it will only be able to display information within the tickets page.
